Yes, you read the title right. We just had a restaurant claim where a crew person (who was good friends with the manager) had a serious injuries from dancing on an empty bun cart. This is just another example how horsepaly can not be tolerated and is causing good people to be hurt and impacting your bottom line.
Ask yourself this:
Could this happen in your organization?
Are you alright with paying an extra for Workers Compensation (due to your exp. mod. increasing) because of horseplay?
Is this acceptable in your company?
What is your policy? If zero tolerance, does your crew know they will be immediately let go…PERIOD?
PLEASE….don’t let yourself become the next to have preventable injuries…establish and reinforce the benefits of a SAFE CULTURE.
Safety is not just luck.
